Disney World Day 3 - Animal Kingdom/Bay Lake

Thursday morning - we started off our day at 1900 Park Fare restaurant in the Grand Floridan hotel - having breakfast with Tigger, Pooh, Alice in Wonderland (and friends) and Mary Poppins! It was the Supercalifragilistic breakfast - our first character meal - and the girls LOVED it! Ali was worried b/c we had looked at pictures and she told me she did not want to have dinner there - b/c then she was afraid of Cinderella's stepsisters (who are there for the dinner) - so this could not have been more perfect!

Our first new friend, Tigger!

Not quite sure who this was...

They did not love the Mad Hatter - Ali tried to not look at him (a little weary of him!) and Rhodes just stared at his big nose the entire time! :) He must be used to it though b/c he was pretty funny about it!
Of course, Ali had her birthday button on and they surprised us with a cupcake, a 1900 Park Fare signed placemat for the girls and sang Happy birthday to them! It was the perfect way to start our morning - we had so much fun!

We were about to leave but had yet to see Mary Poppins - who Ali wanted to see the most! We were sneaky (and illegal) and caught her in between tables for a quick photo op!

From there, we caught the bus to the Animal Kingdom! Started our morning off watching Finding Nemo, the Musical! It was so neat!

Then off to Dinoland and the Triceratops Spin - another favorite since it was just like Dumbo! Ali rode this one a few times - and Ryan and I got to ride the Primeval Swirl in the meantime!
Waiting for Papa and Ali outside of Triceratops Spin
I about had a heart attack when I spotted them and realized that Ali was in her own seat! (by her request!)
Next stop, the Safari! Rhodes fell asleep as we were getting on it (poor thing!) and woke up as we got off - and that was all she napped that day! I could not believe she slept through it - it was a bumpy, fun ride! (again, Ali got worried that we were lost...made her a little nervous! :))

Ryan, my dad and I went from there to ride Expedition Everest (so fun & scary!) and Mom took the girls to Camp Mickey/Minnie to see their favorite characters! Honestly, if all we did the whole time was hang out with the characters and watch the parades - I think the girls would have still had the time of their lives....that was their favorite thing to do!

Safari Donald Duck! (Rhodesy loves her Donald Duck!!)

Discussing the days activities as we left the Animal Kingdom!
At about 3:00, we headed back to the hotel to try to get some naps in (didn't happen!) and get to enjoy our pool a little bit! The girls loved the pool - it had a fun little slide that they loved and then Ali got brave enough to slide down the big slide and became a slide addict! They also loved the kids water area - perfect for little kids!

Ali and daddy at the top of the slide! She was a pro at this slide by the end of the day! I went up there with her to ride and she was telling me what to do (sit here when it's red, lay down and go when it turns green!)
Slide tower!
So proud of herself for being such a big girl and going down the big slide so many times! She made up her own little "big girl" song and dance number and was singing it in the pool! Such a sass these days!

The girls were so tired after the pool - we headed to the Contemporary for a quick service dinner at the Contempo Cafe and then the girls crashed in their beds...at about 7:30! (which would usually be normal if we were home!) Ryan and I enjoyed relaxing in our dark rooms that night but got a little bored! I got a little planning done for what we needed to do the next day and then we went and watched the Halloween party fireworks down the hall! Such a treat to get to watch them from our hotel!
