Fun with Aunt Ashley!

Preschool starts next week so we were excited to have a fun playdate with Aunt Ashley on Monday at Imagine-It Children's Museum in Atlanta! We had a blast and loved getting to play with Aunt Ashley! Here are a few pictures from the day!

Rhodes checking out the little ones section - she is such a mover and shaker - she wanted to be all over the place and preferred to be walking (holding our hands) the whole time.

Both of the girls love any and all things musical!

This may have been Ali's favorite part - she loves performing on stage!

Blowing kisses to her admirers!

Thanks Aunt Ashley for a fun day in Atlanta! We hope to do it again soon!!

Catching up!

Life has been busy lately - between play dates, beach trips, children's clothing shows and more - I have to admit I am getting very excited about school starting the week after next and getting everyone back on schedule! I know we will continue to be busy (so is life with little ones and somewhat of a social life!) but at least there will be structure! Just to catch up - here are some pictures I found on my camera from the past few weeks!

Rhodes checking out her friend, Webb! Webb lives on our street and his mama, Molly and I have been great friends since we were only a little bit older than these two! (and we lived about the same distance from eachother growing up!) He is such a cutie and Rhodes was smitten with him and "talking" to him from the minute he got there. :)
Already making eachother laugh...what little flirts!
Ali also had a date with her boyfriend, Bennett to the movies! The Strand Theatre is an old theater on the Square that has recently been renovated and re-opened! It was such a great experience to go up there with our fun friends the Tidwells - Ali and Bennett loved watching Curious George together and eating popcorn and Rhodes and Beau were such troopers too - Rhodes even slept through most of the movie! The theater was jam packed full of young kids we knew so that was nice too so I didn't have to worry about talking, crying, etc. They even had a cute old timey sing-a-long to start it off with most of Ali's favorite songs - she was in heaven! Little things like this make me love our community!

Even better - when we left, we got Ryan to walk over and meet us for lunch on the square!

Since our first trip to the Munchkin movies was such a hit, we were excited to try it again and this time Libby, Brittain and Emily, Stephanie and Little Mimi were in town to go with us! Unfortunately, the babies were not in the mood to watch The American Tail, but the big girls were great!! Ali and Libby even left in the middle of the movie with us without one complaint!! Here's a picture of Ali and Libby to prove we were there -minus the babies and Little Mimi who was such a trooper and stayed through the whole movie - even after we left! (You may notice a theme throughout these pictures of Ali's latest "Cheeeeese" face)
We took a trip yesterday to go see Memama, Aunt Renee and Aunt Rhonda! We had a great visit and a delicious lunch - wish we saw them more often! Here are a few pictures from our visit...

Rhodes and her Memama (meeting for the first time!)

After visiting Memama, we headed to a first birthday party for our friend, Ashton! Ashton's mom and I went to high school (well, and college, middle school, elementary school) together and it was fun celebrating a 1st birthday party of our next generation of friends! Unfortunately, we did not get a picture with the busy birthday boy - but here is a picture of me and the girls with two of my oldest friends - Katherine (Kiki) and Caroline and Molly and Webb! I am so excited to have a picture with these girls to show our little ones when they are our age one day! I cherish these old, dear friendships and know my girls will too!

Ali starts ballet class at our church the week after next! We (Ali and I, especially) are so excited about it - we had so much fun today going out together after church to pick out her outfit! Ali kept telling me she wanted something "sparkly". Unfortunately, the ballet outfit that we were supposed to get - did not come with sparkles, so we got a skirt to wear with it to add a little pizazz! :) Our future little ballerina...Showing us her moves already!

I can't believe she is old enough to be wearing real ballet slippers! I love having little girls and am enjoying every second of these fun, girly things!

Georgia Girls

I was randomly going through the girls closets yesterday (trying to figure out their fall wardrobes, of course!) and I found the UGA cheerleading outfit! I decided to put Rhodes in it to get excited for what's ahead this Fall! Low and behold, we remembered we had taken Ali's pictures in the uniform at the exact same age (10 months - about when I started the blog). Here are some comparisons of our little Georgia Bulldogs at 10 months - Go Dawgs!

Love these little dawgs!

10 months of sunshine!

Our little chunky monkey turned TEN months old yesterday! What a sunshine she is in our lives! She is on the move and prefers to be standing up (on anything and everything) rather than sitting. She has 1.5 teeth (the two bottom ones) and has eaten everything from fruit, veggies, cheese, bread, chicken and is now eating meals with us - no more baby food at this house! I will give Ali and Rhodes the same meal and Rhodes will eat every last drop - on the other hand, it seems her big sister is watching her weight these days! :) She wants so bad to walk and is crusing on everything and pushing toys/chair around to try to walk- we all think it will not be long before those little legs take off! She is definitely not very patient and quickly moves from trying to walk to speed crawling so she can get all around the house as fast as she can! She has started having little conversations with us - trying to talk more and more every day. She says lots of "Mamamas" and "Dadadas" and "Babababas" and "yayayas" etc....it's too cute! She also just started giving the best, wettest, open mouth on your cheek kisses that make my whole face wet and melt my heart, all at the same time! She is sleeping better and better but most nights she still wakes up, just for us to go in and put her pacifier in. I can not believe in two short months we will be celebrating her first birthday - we better start planning! We love you Rhodeso Bodeso - thank you for the sweet giggles, hugs, smiles and joy you bring to our lives!

Little sunshine up and ready for breakfast!
