Birthday celebrations!

For someone that was not "supposed" to have a birthday party this year (Disney World was the celebration!), I think Ali ended up with a pretty perfect 4th birthday weekend!!

We started off on Saturday morning (11/6) and headed out to North Point Mall to the American Girl store.....
We shopped a little (and tried to keep Rhodesy from pulling every doll, etc off the shelf - I do not think the store was made for 2 year olds! :)) She found a shopping car to keep her entertained (briefly!)....
Then we headed back in the store with best friend Caroline to have lunch at the American girl bistro with our babies....
The girls had so much fun serving their babies their tea....
And loved having their babies sit with them...

We enjoyed the delicious food.....
And Ali got a special birthday cookie (with a candle to blow out) and they sang happy birthday to her....such a special treat!

It was so fun to be with Caroline and the Lowery/Morris family!
Her birthday celebration continued with more fun. Ali also got to....

Have a fun little birthday party with some of our family (and the Holles, Aunt Anna Margaret, and Aunt Kate stopped by too!)! She got to pick out one surprise at the Bitty Baby AG store and it was matching pjs for her and her baby - which she had to put on as soon as the party got going! :)
Have fun on her "celebration day" (as she called it) with best friend, Libby!
Blow out candles on her big cookie cake that she picked out!

And dig right in...
Have her first ever sleep over! (and it went great - with daylight savings time and all!)

Decorate birthday cookies to take to school...

Wake up to birthday chocolate chip muffins and the birthday song... (Ready to begin the big day!)

Get to school and get a surprise gift from best friend, Mary Mac...

Celebrate with all of her friends all morning at school....

Enjoy some cookies and birthday singing at school...

Walk from school to Marietta Pizza Company for a birthday lunch with Mary Mac... (these girls were all smiles and giggles and so excited!)
Enjoy some birthday cupcakes at Miss Mamies...

Run around the fountain on the square...
Play a little on the train...
and then hit the stage for some dancing and "skating" on our way back to the car! (I love Marietta)

She also got home to a surprise flower delivery at the door - sent from daddy!
And finally, she opened more presents...

To top it all off, Ali got to have an afternoon video chat with best friend, Bennett - from Japan!!! How could a 4th birthday get any better than that! I started tearing up hearing Bennett sing her happy birthday all the way from Japan! :) I wish I had gotten a picture of that one, but we had a hard enough time trying to figure out how to skype - it was our first time - hopefully next time we won't look so silly! (I'm sure the Tidwells thought we were brilliant - first we couldn't figure out the password, then the microphone, then the video - but, finally, we got it up and running!) It might take us a few more times to get the hang of it, but we are SOO excited to now get to talk to some of favorite friends in Japan!!!

We finished off the birthday evening by having dinner and playtime at Chuck E Cheese (this was all Ryan's idea!!) - it was the perfect day!
I think Ali had the best 4th birthday ever!
