Summer is here and it is flying by! Our days have been filled with camps and pool time and have been lots of fun...but the reality of my girl starting Kindergarten in 5.5 weeks is starting to set in and we have barely made a dent of our summer fun list we made at the beginning of the summer! That being said, I am slowly but surely learning how to take 3 kids alone (with the help of fun friends to do it with!) to the pool and realizing that our days are a lot more fun (and there is a lot less fighting) if we spend most of our time there! I am way behind on phone calls and emails because of this, but I am enjoying this time with my sweet babies and realizing how fast time does fly! As of this week (and a month full of Jellyfish swim lessons), Rhodes has decided she wants to be a swimmer and is doing SO good! I have learned that it just clicks one day and I am so grateful that we are about to go to the beach - b/c this solo pool Mama is not sure if it is a good thing or a bad thing for Rhodes to decide now is the time to go swimmy-less! Perfect timing for a family vacay to the beach! So far, our summer has been filled with Concerts on the squares, birthday parties for friends, VBS, Kids in the Kitchen camp, a playdate or two, camping out in our backyard, catching fireflies, and lots of fun! A few weeks ago, we headed to the Lasershow with our friends the Lowerys and Moseleys and had a blast!!! The Lasershow was always one of my favorite childhood memories (and Ryan's) and it really was so much fun to be able to take our kids and to start making these memories with them. At one point that day, I had all 3 of my babies napping (there is a first for everything!) and we all stayed up late with smiles on our faces and had a great time!
Sweet friends!
Silly girl!
All of the girls - Rhodes is too busy snacking on nuggets to get in the picture!
And, this is pretty much where Beck hung out throughout the night!
We've had plenty of lazy days and quality family time (and fights and moments where we thought we would pull our hair out - let's be honest!). This little boy is so loved by his big sisters!
Some fire station fun at Brittain's 3rd birthday party!
And a morning out to Chickfila for breakfast after Rhodes survived the dentist!! It has been quite a traumatic experience to try to take her and she finally made it through her first entire checkup! Thanks to Ryan for taking her! Love these girls! (Ali's bow had just fallen out - doesn't she look so grown up with out her bow?!)
